Web Design

I have personally designed dozens of websites. My tool of choice is Photoshop from there I slice up the design and had code the web site design using HTML and CSS programming.

Search Engine Optimization

Once a site has been programmed for viewing through an internet browser I'll go into the code and make sure the site is optimized. This means that the search engines will be able to use their spiders and crawl the code on the site reading the code to tell what the site is about. This includes using alt text on all the images, titles on all the pages and content with certain key phrases.

Web development

Also entailed creating a complete web site; I'll add on a blog, facebook account, twitter account, linked in account and send out press releases all to create a large presence for the site on the world wide web.

I also recommend to all of my clients to take advantage of the power of blogging and social media. Browse blogs that have to do with what you do and post comments to them with a link going to your own website.

Web Programming

Fluent knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Content Development

If you aren't sure about what to include on your marketing collaterals (ie-website, brochure, ads, etc...) I can do a needs and analysis interview to help you identify those key strengths your business offers so that your potential clients will see right away what makes you different from your competition.

Graphic Design

Anytime there is ink put to paper chances are a graphic designer had something to do with it. As a designer I frequently create graphics for these areas of expertise: imagery, typography, packaging, corporate design, illustration and animation, logo design, brochure design, business cards, information design (forms), environmental design (signs).

I began my business because I was frustrated with the lack of flexibility at my prior job. I didn't have enough vacation to be at home with my children when they were sick and take a family vacation once or twice a year. So, I quit and started over.

As a business owner I am responsible for every aspect of running a company:

  • Bookkeeping, Sales, Vendor coordination, Client meetings, Design, Production, Programming and Continuing Education

Sole Web Master/Graphic Designer
Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester

Here I was responsible for updates to the website, a website redesign and expansion of the site so that each department would have it's own sub-site.

I also designed several brochures that highlighted different programs the diocese offered to parishioners and the Rochester NY community.

Kodak Packaging Coordinator
Kraus Creative

Here I supervised a team of production artists to handle creating and editing packaging for Kodak's photochemical division. I also would work on injet paper packaging as well as film packaging.

This work involved typesetting up to 20 languages on a single box which meant working closely with the translation team at Kodak and detailed proofreaders.

Graphic Artist
Xerox- Industrial Design and Human Interface Division

Here I mostly worked on instructional illustrations that would enable users of the SOHO line of products to assemble the machines as well as use them. Several of the icons I created are still being used on Xerox control panels today.
